Is that a halo? I don't think so...!

Nick has re-found his passion in the lake. Luckily it is cooling down so it isn't quite so, how shall we say, sweaty to go there. Now that he has boundless energy he wants to run and climb on everything. Eventually you know where it leads, to the trees...

After a while of not having to go to the lake after daycare Nick is back on the kick lately. He missed the ducks and wanted to go say hi.

We had Nick's bday party a week late but enjoyable nonetheless. We had it at the splash playground by the house. We enjoyed seeing all of Nick's school friends and our friends as well. The party went off smoothly and everyone that wanted to got a caricature done. I am waiting on the professional photographer that we used (Aunt Bev) to get me some pictures and I will put them up. In the meantime here is Nick on the the bundle of balloons and with the best present so far (at least dad thinks so).

Welcome to the newest family member.

Nick is officially a big guy now. He had his 2yr check up with the doc and all went well. His numbers are

Height: 35" (75%)
Weight: 28lbs (50%)
Head: 49.5cm (75%)

He got another shot and did great, not a peep or cry. In fact the guy even thanked the nurse when she was done!!!!! Crazy. Not to mention that it was his first big guy shot in the arm instead of the leg.

A trip to the zoo invariably begins and ends with a few rides on the carousel. This was an especially hot trip so a ride on the wind machine was looked at favorably by his pop this time.

Nick lying down on the playing. Here is a water slide that Cori bought for Nick. Dad finally got around to pumping it up (hey its big) and Nick had fun. Check out the video on the side as well.

Here is the new pool by our house, not much going on if you ask me but Nick thought it was alright. That big bucket fills up with water and tips over showering everyone underneath with water. Fun except when you have no idea it is coming, like Nick and I! Nick definitely enjoyed the time there but wasn't to excited to leave.

Nick and I visited Grandma Willow last week. We enjoyed the visit though Grandma and Dad may have gotten sick from dinner - Nick refused to eat, guess we should have followed his lead. Today is Grandma's bday so happy Bday from Nick and the fam.

Don't ask me how we got out of Costco without the horse but we did. The horse was nice but $75 was a bit steep. Nick enjoyed riding it though.

Nick brought a sack lunch to school on Friday. Mom and Dad joined him at school for lunch but it was a bit crowded to eat there with him. The kids had a fun time (except for the parents leaving after lunch of course - Nick was no different).
