We have two big men now, Nick and Adam.  The first picture shows Adam gaining neck strength, he can't hold it up for long it is still a step, next up the Bumbo.  The second picture is a Jen favorite.  Sometimes Adam keeps his arms up while he sleeps, this is one such time.

So what is life like with Adam (and thus a 2nd kiddo).  Adam does 2 very different things from young Nick, first Adam sleeps a lot, like a lot a lot.  This is a blessing and we love Adam very much for doing it!  The second is not quite as nice, Adam is definitely a spiter-upper while you can count on one hand how many times Nick spit up.  Nominally this is no big deal but he does it a lot, like even an hour or two after feeding and thus no protection...

Adam is still at the jello stage but he is having longer periods of awake time and much more interested in his surroundings.  He enjoys his tummy time more then Nick did and of course loves to be held and talked to.  On outings he zonks out and pretty much stays that way unless it is feeding time (even if we want him to be awake).  

At night we have had a successful 9pm to 6:30am sleep (two nights ago).  It was odd because I woke up at 6:30 to him waking up and I couldn't remember feeding him around 3:30 (his normal wake up), this was of course because I didn't, yea team.  

Nick does an extremely good job with Adam.  He always wants to help and hold "his baby brother" and helps feed him occasionally.  Nick is very gentle with Adam.  It is pretty adorable when Adam is crying Nick will come over and pat Adam and tell him, "it's okay Adam".  He also gives Adam a hug and a kiss every night at bedtime.

Nick, Adam and Dad made the long trek to Glendale today to visit Grandma and go to the Antique Tractor show today.  The tractor show was fun and Grandma got to see plenty of Adam (sleeping anyway).

Today Nick and Mom went to a program at the Zoo where you get to go in early and "eat with the animals".  It varies by month and this month was the Animals of Arizona.  I don't have all the specifics but they did some crafts (Nick loves his binoculars) and fed the prairie dogs carrots.  Mom and Nick both had a good time.

Here is our young hero talking on the phone with Grandma Taylor, and holding a conversation I may add.  I guess I need to discuss a couple things with him.  1. No Andresen boy should want to talk on the phone, this is non-negotiable.  2. I will have to investigate his lack of wearing pants, Nick isn't the one taking his pants off so maybe I am trying to live my dream through Nick of not wearing pants around the house... hmmm.

Let me just say, Nick is Awesome.

Adam is all about trying out new stuff, he does it most every day you know.  Lately he has been seen around town in his Baby Bjorn and chillin' on his boppy.  Not a bad gig if you can score it.

But what the heck, they gave it a good try, we thought we had it right till the end and that is all you can ask for.  Lets do this again next year (minus the last minute thanks).

This is how we found young Nicholas after some quiet time in his room.  See if he isn't in the mood to sleep he instead goes for some quiet time.  Normally he ends up sleeping on the futon on the floor but this time he chose a different path.  He is full on sleeping.
